Internet connection in some places, countries is expensive and the limit of download and upload is not very much. Some Internet connections allow night usage free in between some specific hours.
Like between 2am to 8am or 10pm to 8am are free to download and upload. I have been asked many times to utilize the time which is free with some downloading stuff. Like from torrents which can take time to download.
Utorrent 1.8.3 has a great time scheduler to start your downloading at a particular day and time. See more after the jump…
Open utorrent go to options in navigation bar and open prefrences from it. On the left side of Prefrences window there are many options and settings .
You will find scheduler, open it and you will see a nice user interface in it. There is a table of days in a week from monday to sunday. In the boxes you see there are four colors and coding, which will show varies sppeds.
By clicking on a box in table the color is changed. Select the hours between which you want to download with the color green. And for now downloading or uploading stuff keep it in white by clicking a box in table multiple times ..
This interface is really good and easy to manipulate.. in few mins you will figure out what exactly you want.
By appling and pressing ok to scheduler window your time is been set. Now all your downlaods will be at that day or time you have selected in green color.
Simple and easy to use and very handful. Now you can stop worrying about your extra downloading and extra bills.
